Greetings friends,
Today was a whirlwind. So. Much. Accomplished.

Our repair houses are complete! The repair team worked quickly to add windows, doors, staircases, railings and also replaced a wall. The family is excited to have the updates and repairs, and they couldn't be more deserving. They speak mostly Spanish so, as usual, Karl served as our translator. Phew! Way to go team.

| House #2 team in action |
House #1 is in need of linoleum for the floors, but otherwise is complete. So many positive attitudes and incredible teamwork helped this process to flow smoothly. This house literally went from studs and a roof to pretty much complete in the course of one day. That's incredible!
House #2 is also needing only linoleum for the floors (there may be a special addition of bunk beds in the mix since we have a little extra time, and this house will shelter 10 people!) - This team has rocked it as well, and the family and friends that have showed up to help have also been incredible!
Art Camp, again, had just shy of 20 kids in Belama 4. The kids LOVED their crafts, and spending time with the crew. This camp is such a huge part of our mission trip. The relationships that have been developed with these kids are incredible, and so worthwhile. I think everyone here would come back in a second just to spend time with them.

We also had a little time to relax today. Some had the opportunity to go to see the Mayan ruins, while some stuck around mission headquarters. The ruins were only about a 45 minute drive from the church, and quasi-in-the-jungle... What a great experience! The architecture was incredible - God made some pretty brilliant minds.

| Mayan ruins... Incredible. |
The bugs were OUT OF CONTROL today! I think Belize has a motto - "If the sun isn't around to disturb your skin, we'll find another way." Seriously... it honestly wouldn't surprise me. Also - I decided that one of my questions for God when, God willing, I get to heaven is "I get bats, and I get snakes, and other weird and creepy things... but really Lord - Fire ants?! What were you thinking there?"
We have one more day of work ahead of us, and then it's off to the island! Pray that we will be able to finish things up, and that all our supplies arrive! 😬😬
Over and out for tonight,
The Belize Team
